Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Super Mario Brothers - DIY Kids' Halloween Costumes

My own version of PeterPan, CaptainHook, Mario and Luigi (Super Mario Brothers). These are my latest DIY projects (second season for Halloween Costumes). What's not to love about being frugal and crafty using DIY ideas and unique styling? MomlovesGlam! Surely it fires up my imagination and gets the creative juices flowing. And the achievements?? ohh... totally awesome! Above all, is the opportunity to watch my kids live out their fantasies of being pirates and superheroes! #MYfourCsons #DIY

For Halloween this year Clian and Cyle dressed up as Peter Pan and Captain Hook while my twins dressed up as Super Mario Brothers.  This was the second year I have ever made their costumes and I was quite pleased with how easy and cute they turned out!

And this pretty much sums up the fun...boxes of chocolates, certificate and gift checks!

We attended 3 events in these costumes: daddy's company halloween costume party, kid's school Disney Ball and a mall halloween costume contest. We hope you had so much fun as these kids did!

I hope you enjoyed your stay. Please consider following me on twitter and G+ or liking me on facebook.

A post for myself on Mothers' Day! Am I not a SUPERMOM? + the story of my freelancing life!

I think this quote is just right and timely for the recent blessing that I received. How many times did I post this already? Hmm..  I actually posted it in FB and I wrote about it on my recent post but why am I posting it again? Well, maybe to answer some of my friends questions and to tell them that I am not bragging. I want them to see how grateful I am for this. One more online blessing and I can then send my three toddlers to a private school.

Again, here's what I have posted in FB:

"Another signed contract! Thank you Lord for pouring so much blessings in me. They may be little at times but you never fail to spread them around me! Thinking about it, $8 per hour is not little for a part time job! My weekends will surely be occupied and productive moving forward. But that's okay, this is what I prayed for. I am just grateful that you magically transformed my wishes to reality! I just feel so lucky and loved! More to come please!"

Surely it POURED!.. It poured a lot of questions coming from friends and ex-colleagues. LOL. I don't have any intention to brag I simply  wanna SHOUT OUT that God is really good! He just know exactly  when is the right time to send extra.

As I happily replied to all emails and messages received, a flashback popped-up  to my mind recalling those times that I was novice to any of these. I never fail to PING friends whenever I see them posting statuses via FB that they got jobs online, that they have and are earning extra through small businesses, IM-ing even those that are not so close to me...anxious but mostly to no avail. Most of them maybe have taken deadmatology in college for they keep on ignoring my messages. But that did not stop me, that's how enthralled I am to have extra jobs and how breathless I am to learn this online thing. Why? Because I have four toddlers to feed. Just imagine the financial need that we have to go through everyday, it is  kinda stressing. STRESS and spelling it out! Bottle feeding and  diapering at the same time. All are in immunization stage. Four different set of clothing and necessities. And how about the vaccines? Can you just imagine that?

I entered married life in a flash! Yeah, that's true!  Claim it unplanned, I don' care but it was indeed abrupt! I got married in a snap, got pregnant fleetly; 2007 for my eldest, 2008 for the twins and 2010 for my youngest.

Now, would you blame me if I need something extra?

Let me tell you a short story of how we survive those days of sudden spike of financial needs came. These are the things that  I have tried so far to get something extra. Let me go over them,  before I gave birth to my twins just a few months before my eldest first birthday, I sell cooking oil, non-branded detergent and imported diaper every day-off  on fair market (tyangge) near our area. I did not expect that a fair market with not that classy community will refuse in buying cheap imported diapers and home made detergents.  My products are with the same quality of those that are branded. My  idea of earning and sharing tips on how to minimize family expenses did not work on my community.  It was indeed a failure.

That triggered me to set up an online shop.Little by little it grew as  I managed to set it up providing wholesale deals. I set up an account via SULIT.COM. It cascaded just right before I gave birth to my twins. Boomed like I  never expected, I had some shares of suki (trusted buyers) all over Central buying in bulk as mine is the cheapest way North. But as my business grows a little, my suppliers increased their products' prices. That forced me to stop and look for another profitable business. That gave birth to my  own online boutique.  I set up an FB account DRESSFORLESS offering cheapest wholesale sexy/ladies clothing. I sell them in two ways, online and then also peddled them over business establishments here in Tarlac. A lot of hard work but that endowed a lot of extras in my pocket.

Selling maybe my forte but I want something more. I want something that I can LEARN as I EARN.  I heard a lot of stories of people earning online but not through selling. I did not believe about that not until I saw my high school friend doing it. I saw him posting his earnings, of what he was able to buy or accomplish because of that online job.  Well, not literally showed it to me. Let's say I started to stalk over his facebook and blog posts. Indicating his earnings and how he spends them got me hooked up. That enticed me well and provided so much inner strength to finally confront and ask him how he does things.
And I regret that very moment that I have approached him to ask for help. I am not asking for financial help, all I am asking is his guidance..he's a long time friend so I thought he is willing to give me hints on how to learn his stuffs. And the rest of the story?.. I'll just apprise it in the future.

Am I not a Supermom?Just timely for mothers' day noh? (right in time for mothers' day.) A sort of motivation, pagbigyan na!!(Allow me to say that as it's a way to motivate me).  By simply  saying so makes me wanna  stand firm and achieve more. I cannot say that I am not happy but honesty  this is not the life that I want to settle with. I am happy with my kids, with my loving husband around but with our financial status? I want more!! I don't wanna grow old like this. Not only that I am aiming for financial freedom but I am also aiming for more knowledge.  And yes, I am not getting all of my WANTS but HE specifically provided me with all that I NEED.  Isnt it magical? I am hoping for another online blessing on the way. Crossing my fingers and praying so hard now. I now know that my life is dictated by what I do. I am in this journey with all my heart. I am striving for a happier, more meaningful life with peace and better productivity. All the answers I am seeking can be found inside me. And these? These are all for my kids!

Fitness Friday - Revolt Fitness Week 1

Overwhelmed and Confused, that's what I have felt when I received an email a few weeks ago asking if I could join and be a fitness blogger for Revolt Fitness program.

I said, whaatt?? O.M.G to the Nth power!

Overwhelmed as I would be an official fitness blogger  and confused as I am not really sure if the email is intended to me. LOL

I never recall tackling fitness program on my blog though I have some plans of getting into zumba but  I never thought that someone will be interested in me. BIG LAUGH. Oh Lord, you are just so good to send some motivation and a lot of opportunities along the way.

I was hesitant at first as I am not really a work-out person. I feel so lazy to do all craps and I know I can't commit on the diet meal plan.

But hey, it knocked so hard on my door even if I did not ask for it. It is something that I should grab and something that I should not miss I guess so why not give it a try.

As a Revolt blogger I will gain 12 weeks of access to the Revolt website for FREE.  At the completion of my trial and blogging about my experience (at least one blog posting a week for 12 weeks) I will then be given free lifetime access.  Too good to be true? That's what I thought too.

So I immediately replied back to the sender asking if the blogger opportunity is intended to me and if it is applicable from someone outside USA.

Well it is and  after some exchange of emails she immediately sent me some  sample packs for a kick start program.  And there was it!

The program is so easy to handle, it will not consume much of your time, meal plans are just easy to prepare and everything is actually spoon feed.  Whatelse can I ask for? Oh yeah and what can you say about a fitness program that has a cheat day every week?  Can I just call that awesome?!

The Revolt program, founded by Nichole Huntsman, works by getting all the support that you need to succeed: A 20-40 minute workout which you can do at home as you will be given a free access on the video (videos on all sort of levels) , diet meal plan which is a print away, and a community of bloggers that you can talk to whenever you miss something or you need something. It is always good to know that someone  is just ready to back you up and cheer for you along the way. It's a great way to motivate yourself as others are looking forward to your progress.

The first week is called "kickstart" or  detox part which I have done last week. Look just down below. Amazing, right?

So far I have surprisingly enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. As a  matter of fact I’m quite impressed.I'm hoping to stay on the look until I get my old body back! (crossing.my.fingers)

 I'll keep you posted. Promise!

I hope you enjoyed your stay. Please consider following me on twitter and G+ or liking me on facebook.

Sharing my Blessings with you!

I've been missing  in action for a couple of weeks. I miss writing and sharing my thoughts. What makes me busy for the past weeks? Well, I have one good news and one bad news to share.

The bad news is, the small lump just near my incision scar came back. I had it removed last 2011 just a year after my 3rd CS delivery. For the past couple of months, I've been experiencing the same pain I had when I was diagnosed for this so hubby and I decided to seek for a second opinion. I am currently under medication and I am hoping not to stand another operation but ofcourse  I will abide if there's really a need for it.
I will not further discuss endometriosis as Google is readily available to answer you for that. But you can check my story or of what I've been through before, here's my life after CS.

Oh well, let's opt for the good one. Hurray! I have another part time job. You know how I badly needed one, right? I have 3 kiddos to send to toddler school this coming school year, so I have to get things better and ready before June.  But unfortunately, out of excitement, I proudly shout out my freelance status via facebook. Isn't that awful? Too late to realize that I made a big mistake in announcing it publicly! Here's what I have posted "Another signed contract! More to come please! " And how bad is that?

Anyhow, whether good or bad , I still thank God for what he is sending my way. Each trials and blessings has the same impact in regards to lessons being learned. Surely, gifts from God are being send in different packages and that did not stop me from welcoming them. Because only when I hugged them tightly that I'll see the good things it can do even how bad it came out of my sight.

Hoping you had some shares  of blessings too!

At 16 months, my youngest is potty-trained already. 4 Easiest Ways to Potty Train yours.

It was just recently that I have posted a personal message received from a fellow mommy about potty training. She asked if it is okay to potty train a 14 month old baby. And I ofcourse happily answered her questions based from my experience. And now she is asking for tips on how I have potty trained my kids. And I thought of posting it as well for other mommies' reference. I hope you can find this post useful.

Here's her new PM: "Hi! Thank you so much for your reply. It is helpful. Anyway, can you give me tips on how to potty train a baby boy? He doesn't have older brothers to follow and he is still 14 mos old. he still don't know how to say words.".

Here are my tips.

1. You have to carefully instruct him about potty training. Though he won't be able to undestand fully, atleast he knows what's going on.

2.Stop asking if the kid needs to go to poop or pee.  - why would he wants to stop anything for a potty break, right? You just need to take him with out asking.

3. Also you can try having him wear underwear the whole day and change him every incident.Or leave him naked the whole time and put a potty near him. This will lead him to realize that he doesn't want to be messy and stinky all day long.

4.If not fully potty trained - Exercise "diaper at bedtime or naptime only."

There will be a lot of accidents specially for the first couple of days but as you go on with the trainiNg, your kid will  recognize more of the signs that he needs to go.

It takes a lot of patience and stinky days.. Good Luck!

I hope you enjoyed your stay. Please consider following me on twitter and G+ or liking me on facebook.

The first-ever message/question I received from a fellow mommy.

Wow!!! I was overwhelmed with this!! Thanks!!! I did not imagine that this will come as early as this. As I have told you guys many times, I am not an expert.. it's just about ME, my PEN and my BIG MOUTH!..

Here's a message from Christine.

"hi! just wanted to ask for an opinion. My baby is now 14 mos old. is it the right time to potty train him? And should I be worried that he still doesn't know how to walk? thanks for the response!"

Here's my reply.

Thanks for your message. I am sorry if my reply is a little bit late. Yes, that would be okay. My youngest was potty trained as early as 16 months. He has been doing great! though for other mom, 12-18 months is too early.

We have his little potty chair in our living room so that way he can see it and doesn't have to go looking for it. He actually will walk over to his potty chair or tell me that he wants to pee or poop. I usually then run over and put him on the potty and he will go instantly. I don't give him anything for going on the potty jt came natural to him because he wants to mimic his older brothers.. he even potty trained himself.. lol..

I dont see anything wrong in potty training a 14month old baby...actually , the sooner the better..

question: And should I be worried that he still doesn't know how to walk?

Please do not worry. Knowing what I know now, each baby is different and will walk when THEY ARE READY. What you should be looking for is the PROGRESS that your child can do more than simply hitting MILESTONES.

As long as your baby has not just stopped making progress and getting stronger you probably have nothing to worry about. Also, many babies progress in different areas at different times, so if they are focusing on their social skills they may ignore their physical progress for a while, and vice versa.

But ofcourse, the best answer could be that of your pedia.

I hope I was able to help..

again, I am not an expert... well, maybe an experienced one.

I hope you enjoyed your stay. Please consider following me on twitter and G+ or liking me on facebook.

MOMBLOGGER: To whom am I blogging for?- A letter to my Insecure Reader.

Only few of the people relatively around me understand what -Mom blogger- is.
I've been judged many times as to why I keep my family life too public.
And as to  why I let my style of parenting and mothering be open to anyone when I am not a real expert on this matter. This strikes me BIG TIME.

Excuse me! I am not being  compensated for this. Never did I claim that I am an expert. I know a lot of you would ask of what am I getting in exchange as I write about my children? What am I getting in return as I share tidbits of our lives?

I've been MIA for a couple of weeks - giving time to analyze if I am on the right path. Am I really enjoying what I do, what I write and what I share? Now that my words are out there for everyone to read. Am I really a mom blogger or just a mom blogger wanna-be?

Blogging about parenting and mothering is not all about happy moments, good vibes or not about showcasing the good side of me. Not even about bragging my kids to public, to friends.  It is mainly about how I handle this stage of my life in the most natural way. Indeed difficult.  Difficult financially, physically and emotionally.

I do yell. I get mad. I spank my kids. I cry over their tantrums. I get tired, lazy and sleepy.  No matter how I keep myself awake and alive, there are times that I miss to give them their vitamins or their prescribed medicine.

I was judged many times- for allowing them to use tech gadgets at an early age, even had a debate  for not breastfeeding them, was questioned when I send Clian to an exclusive and expensive school in our place.

Honestly, there came a time that I asked myself of what I have gotten into. God has been good for sending four little angels with out wings my way but motherhood had  made me realized that I have No house, No savings, No career. And hmm.. No sexy body.  CHOZ!

I am not perfect. Never did I say I AM!!  Parenting and Mothering does not mean you have to be perfect.  When you become a mom, the last thing you want to feel is to be judged because everybody is trying to do the best they can. No matter what you do, no matter what your parenting style is, you will always be the best mom to your kids.

And to you, dear Insecure Reader,

Though I am blogging because I want to share what I have learned along each stages of motherhood, I'll tell you frankly that I am not blogging because of YOU. Not even for dollar or fame as claimed it to.
So please don't judge me as you don't know what I've been through!

Here's why I blog:

I am blogging for  my kids.  This is what they will have someday when they wish to recall their childhood- when they wish to see how silly, funny, clever, hardheaded, childish  and loving they are. Memories of their childhood that I can keep through my writings. Along with their thousands of pictures on my pc.

I am blogging for my husband.  Someday, when I am old and gray my hubby will be the only grown up who would be interested in checking this blogsite with me. Recalling what we've been through. Reminiscing how we've handled these four little brats.

I am blogging for myself. Everybody knows how difficult motherhood is but I don’t have anyone to talk to about it. I don't like anyone near me to think that I regret it.  It is only through writing that I can express my self clearly without being judged.
. My memory does not serve me better after giving birth consecutively and if it was not  through blogging ,  I may have forgotten how my kids have grown up so fast.
.There's no place like finding comfort , connections and creating a space for myself along with other homeMIES around the world.

I am blogging for my family. Someday, maybe when I am gone, my kids can turn into this to see how my husband and I managed to raise, love and care them perfectly without hesitations and regrets. That despite the difficulty of living, we managed to provide them the best of what we can.

How about you? What are you blogging for? To whom are you blogging for?

I hope you enjoyed your stay. Please consider following me on twitter and G+ or liking me on facebook.

List of 2013 Movies for your kids : Is it time yet I can't wait!

Movie TIME is just another bonding time for my family. My four-C-sons enjoy watching videos or TV everyday day to “chill out” as they put it. It’s either a Disney video or a kids TV show.  Name it, finding Nemo, Monster INC, Monsterhouse, Madagascar , Ice AGE. I always find my self fascinated whenever I see them mimic these movies hours after watching them, well, over and over again. I find it cute to see them in amusement. To be young is to be free! To believe in fantasy, fairytale and happy ending. And I allow them to put themselves into that kind of world. A world that is so far from reality.

Allowing them to have their own movie time has a lot of benefits. A useful tool when I have to keep them in, or when I have to get SOMETHING DONE . But ofcourse, all things are in moderation. I maybe one of those parents who agree that  TV time enriches young minds.  Television will definitively make your child smarter.

I never stop searching for upcoming movies for my kids. I list them down, collate and tease them with it. Getting a list and showing them the trailers motivates them to behave more. They always look forward to see these in big screen.

Mommies, here's my share of  upcoming 2013 movies for your little ones. You gotta share this with your kids!! Mine, got so excited. Wanna know what has been their common words lately?
"Mom, is it time yet I can't wait?!".

Celestine is a little mouse who lives in the underground world of rodents, while the surface is inhabited by bears. The two peoples did not attend at all. At the orphanage where Celestine grows, the old guard scares children with the history of the Big Bad Bear, Celestine however does not believe the stories. Some years later, she is forced to undergo training to become a dentist, like all rodents, but she does not want to become a dentist and prefer to draw. She is sent to collect milk teeth which cubs leave under their pillows, and goes the surface to the city of bears. Celestine tries to retrieve the milk tooth of a bear cub but she is caught and after being chased around she lands in a trash can where she spends the night. In the morning, a bear Ernest wakes up, and realizing that he has nothing to eat, leaves the house in the woods and goes into town and tries to earn some money with a one-man band act on the spot. But the police confiscate his instruments. Now starving, Ernest resolves through the trash, and discovers Celestine, he is about to eat her. But she wakes up and convinces him not to eat her and shows him food in a cellar. Out of this act of kindness, a friendship is born between Ernest, the bear, and Celestine, the mouse.

March LINK UP: Share your BEST post

My first try for a LINKUP was a failure. BIG Sigh.  But that will not stop me from linking up with YOU! There's nothing nicer than knowing a fellow blogger on the road, specially if the person shares the same interests as yours!

Anyone can join! Just link up  and  share your BEST post.

The March linky will be open March 14 through March 21.

Here's mine.

Working with you guys all day can be challenging and stressful.
Imagine, you wake up with so much energy and loudness, you even wake up before the rooster crows, you even wake up before mommy goes to sleep.
I know at your age all you want to do is to explore , to crawl , to walk , to climb , to run and to be by your own.
Forgive me when I yell, forgive me when I'm mad. Forgive me when I stop you when you are just having fun.
I hope you understand why mom wants you to behave, I just don't want you to be hurt when you roam around.
Although , I've now learned several great toddler-taming strategies still never did I envision how challenging raising 4 toddlers would be
. I can't imagine, you are just 4, 3, 3 and 1 .

Yes, I am writing this because you made mommy cry for the first time and I am so sorry if I let you see that. It does not mean that I got tired of you all. It is just that , there are feelings that turning up in places that I wouldn't expect!
Maybe , I just can't keep the feeling inside.
I had patience but I think I was not able to control of my emotions , I have stood my ground though; I don’t treat any of you differently.
No one gets special privileges; no one gets away with something which the other may not as I love you all equally everyday.
I'll spare you from pain and heartaches for as long as time will allow me to.

What have you been linking up lately?

I hope you enjoyed your stay. Please consider following me on twitter and G+ or liking me on facebook

Healthy Mommy, Happy Baby.

Building your relationship to your future baby.

photocredit: Katie of http://paintingmotherhood.blogspot.comdd caption
Honestly speaking, I never thought to be pregnant at the age of  23. Scared. That's what I felt the first time I learned about it. I got scared with my future. At 23 I am still a mama's girl. Though hubby is with me along the way, this kind of emotional stress never left me until such time that I can no longer recall.

Pregnancy is not just about being happy and excited. I am not saying that I was not happy when I got pregnant. But believe it or not, you'll find a lot of negative emotions during this stage. It's like a rollercoaster of emotions no matter how ready you are.
Various emotions can surface for the woman and her partner (if she has one) in both positive and negative ways.

There will be a time that you'll think  of "what have I gotten myself into?", or "what was I thinking, do I really want a kid?", or "Am I really ready for this ( because you know there will be no turning back afterwards)?",  sounds awful but true. But  those feelings will definitely change once you've seen your precious or until such time that you realize that "THIS IS IT".

Pregnancy is an experience full of growth, change, enrichment, and challenge. It is a time when you as a couple confront your fears and expectations about becoming parents and begin to determine your own parenting style. Forthcoming parenthood causes psychological changes in both mother and father.

It was not that  long when I finally realized that "THIS IS IT!" . I told my self that I have to maximize the moment of being pregnant. The bond it created in a few weeks (after knowing it) has been  awesome and it should stay that way until the day he pops out.

Aside from being emotionally ready, here are other things that a first-time mom should know to achieve a healthy mommy, happy baby.

1. Choosing the right Obstetrician.

While you are on the early stage make sure to make  a test in selecting the right Obstetrician. If you're seeing a gynecologist you like who practices obstetrics as well, you may want to ask him or her to care for you during your pregnancy, particularly if you like the hospital where the doctor attends births. The highest percent of women are choosing obstetricians based on recommendations from their friends. However, an obstetrician that may have been ideal for a friend’s birth may not be ideal for yours, because not everyone will have the same experiences or preferences for childbirth. That’s why it’s important to do your own research as well as taking into account the experience and feedback from others.

2.  Make sure you have regular Obstetrician visits.

Make sure to let your Obstetrician  knows everything about you, your health even your past illness. It gives each of you the opportunity to see and hear everything firsthand so that you can discuss questions and concerns with each other before each visit.  A notebook will be given to you to track  your monthly check ups, make sure that you bring it with your whenever you visit your Obstetrician  and make sure that it was fully notated.

3. Feed yourself of what you want to feed your baby.

The nutrition your baby gets in the womb does impact her later health. I know you know about the foods you shouldn't eat during pregnancy and please be consistent.  This is not the right time to cheat a little.

During pregnancy, for example, you’ll need protein and calcium for your baby’s tissues and bones. You’ll also need extra folic acid to protect against neural tube birth defects, as well as more iron to help red blood cells carry oxygen to your baby.

4. Prenatal Vitamins are a must.

It's a good idea during pregnancy to take a prenatal vitamin to help cover any nutritional gaps in the mother's diet.

Here are the main vitamins you should get: Folic Acid, Iron, and Calcium

Folic acid helps prevent neural tube birth defects, which affect the brain and spinal cord.

Calcium is also important for a pregnant woman. It can help prevent her from losing her own bone density, as the baby uses calcium for its own bone growth.

Iron helps blood -- in both the mother and baby -- carry oxygen. 5. Be active and exercise regularly
Activity means different things to different people.
Whether it’s walking, yoga, swimming or pilates, exercise is a great stress reliever, and being active with your partner will help make sure you have time together doing something that makes you feel good and keeps you healthy.

5. Be motivated.

Set up a  driving force; a psychological drive that compels or reinforces you toward a desired goal of motherhood.

How did you feel about the first stage of your pregnancy? Have you gone beyond emotional stress?

Are you giving the right Vitamins to your kids?

I've been bugged asked many times as to what vitamins are good for kids.  I am no expert on this yet I still get a lot of questions. Definitely not an expert but my experience made me wanna write about it.  It does show on my kids, right?

This might be the reason why questions are pouring in.

See the reason why?

I am not in anyway compensated with this post. It is just so happen that both vitamins that I give to my kids are from Unilab

Multivitamins are not really necessary for most healthy children who are growing normally.

My healthy boys are a product of what I feed them. Food are still the best source of nutrients. Make sure that your kids don't skip regular meals. If they do, make sure that you let them eat healthy snacks in between.
Children are often picky eaters, and because so many food choices are low in nutritional value, children are often eating the wrong food.  Plus in our more challenging world, our children are being raised and exposed to more toxins, pollution, and stress. So nutritional supplementation can be that extra insurance to protect them.

Calcium with Vitamins, Calcium with Vitamins, Vitamins A, D & E, Vitamin B-Complex with C, Vitamin C, Vitamins, Minerals, Vitamins, Minerals (Pediatric), Vitamins, Minerals (Pre & Postnatal), Antianemics

This nutritional supplement contains vitamin C and zinc.

Young children are growing rapidly and their immune system may not yet be fully developed. Hence, supplementation with vitamin C and zinc may be beneficial. Vitamin C and zinc together help the body’s natural defense against damaging free radicals (antioxidant effect) and help boost immune function. Free radicals are highly reactive and unstable chemicals generated during normal body activities that require oxygen (e.g., respiration, digestion, blood circulation, immune system response, etc.) and after exposure to UV light, cigarette smoke and various pollutants. One major effect of zinc is on the ability of cells to properly replicate their DNA, which is required for cells to multiply. Hence, zinc is needed for normal growth of children.
Vitamin C and zinc have other important functions particularly during the period of rapid growth.

It has been observed that vitamin deficiency can induce loss of appetite. It is for this reason that multivitamin supplements as well as iron, zinc and other mineral supplements are advised to promote nutritional balance in children. They also boost energy and improve immunity. However, these should only be administered on the recommendation of a doctor.
Just recently my eldest and the twins lose appetite and became choosy eaters. It was just natural as children reject even the slightest variation in tastes, preferring the set pattern of favorite flavors over new, unexplored avenues of cuisine  and so I grabbed an appetite stimulant that is ofcourse recommended by our pedia.
I've seen much result after using Appebon Kid   Syrup  and I am very well satisfied with it.

Appebon Kid Syrup is a dietary supplement to help provide children with nutrients essential for energy and to help improve appetite.

Furthermore, multivitamins aren't without some risks. Megadoses of vitamins and minerals can be toxic. In addition, some vitamins and minerals can interact with medications your child may take. That's why when my kids are sick, I refrain from giving them their daily  vitamins or  sometimes if there's a need for vitamins, I make sure that the prescribed medicine was given atleast 2 hours prior to the vitamin intake.
If your child's doctor recommends a multivitamin, choose one that is designed for your child's age group and doesn't provide more than 100 percent of the Daily Value of vitamins and minerals. Ask your friendly doctor about it.
You can visit and like Unilab's Facebook Page at Unilab.

How about you, what are your recommended vitamins? Are your kids' vitamins working good on them?
Keep your thoughts coming!!
